A few days ago, I went with my friends to an Air Show
先日、友人と一緒に航空祭に行きました。
I have never been to one so I did not know what to expect. It was also my first time going to an airbase.
一度も行ったことがなかったので、どのようなことが行われるのか想像できませんでした。空軍基地に行くのも初めてです。
When we got to Ashiya Air Base, some aircraft vehicles like fighter jets and helicopters were displayed, one even had a kabuki mask painted on the propellers
芦屋基地に到着すると、戦闘機やヘリコプターなどの航空機が展示されており、プロペラに歌舞伎の面が描かれているものもありました。
It was such an enjoyable sight, seeing something I only see in movies right in front of me.
映画でしか見られないようなものを目の前で見ることができてとても楽しかったです。
But the most amazing sights were the aircraft demonstrations itself.
しかし一番素晴らしかった光景は航空機の飛行デモンストレーションでした。
Because the planes were flying in the skies at great speed, it was difficult to take pictures, but I think I managed to get good shots.
上空をすごいスピードで飛行する航空機の写真を撮ることはとても大変でしたが、なんとか上手く撮ることができたと思います。
The highlight of the flight demonstration is the Blue Impulse
飛行デモンストレーションのハイライトはブルーインパルスです。
I was very amazed at the pilots’ ability of driving so near the land and even rotating in the air.
私はパイロットが地上近くを飛行し、さらに空中で回転する技にとても感激しました。
I hope I can witness this again someday.
いつかまたこの光景が見られることを願っています。
